A History of Success
In 1990, Greg James founded Countertop Video, focusing on the distribution of VHS video cassettes. In 1994, Countertop expanded into publishing and found success with the Learn Country Line Dancing series, selling more than 2 million copies. In 1997, Countertop began publishing software and quickly became No. 1 in reference titles. Countertop changed its name to TOPICS Entertainment in 2000 to better represent its expanding publishing business. Today, the company is headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility in Renton, WA.

Corporate Responsibility
TOPICS has always believed in making the world a better place to live. Every year, 5 percent of company profits are donated to education and conservation groups.
